Burrowing beneath the surface of Sera,
Gargantuan maggots create this dark era.
Prophetic creatures of Nexus, omnipotent and gigantic.

Burrowing beneath the surface of Sera!
Nestling, eroding civilization,
Splintering, ripping away its foundation.

They will not rest until we are dust.

Remarkable entities, serving their queen.
Corroding the fabric of humanity,

In the ancient times of Sera, they tunnel deep into the ground,
The wreckage of the human cities decomposed to fertile soil.
According to the legends of the ancient holy locust scripture,
The tillage of the worms and conurbations shaped the Hollows’ life.

The locust take advantage of its prehistoric permutations, devastating!

The lone Riftworm left in the Hollow,
Sinking cities to rid Jacinto.
Antediluvian insects, now dictatorial architects,

Since Spenser Moore replaced Blackburn I’ve frankly appreciated Inferi far more. I feel that his drumming improves the overall sound of the band a great deal, but it’s probably just a personal style preference. Either way, Of Sunless Realms was a great foreshadowing of the epic Vile Genesis. Metallurgical Fire

An eclectic but incredibly well-integrated blend of traditional death metal, melodeath, black metal, progressive, and even a bit of folk (with the added bonus of audible and tasty bass guitar). The album has a consistent, pulverizing momentum punctuated by the rare acoustic passage or catchy chorus/refrain. Overall an unbelievably mature first offering from an up-and-coming band to watch.
